"Master of the Chair"
|
My work
expresses the world around me. I work in oils, pencil, pastel,
watercolor and acrylic. In addition to my more serious art, I design
T-shirts and banners.
Born in Yoakum,
Texas, I have also lived in Maryland, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and
Georgia, and have traveled extensively throughout the United States,
Europe, Canada, Jamaica, and the Caribbean. I have a deep love for
the Lord and believe that all credit for my talent was given by God; a
gift that is to be used for the enjoyment of others. My large oil
paintings with religious themes contribute to the worshipful
atmosphere of several local churches.
I have
studied with artists such as Victor Armstrong, Dolores Andrew, Estelle
Hart, and Elaine Greer. My art has won many awards in juried exhibits
throughout the country, including first place in the New Jersey
Statewide Welcome Wagon Competition and the Texas Wildflower Trails
competition. In addition to Southern Colours, I am a member of the
Southeastern Pastel Society.
